HTET stands for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. It is also famous for it’s another name i.e. Haryana TET. The Test is conducted annually for those keen candidates who wish to make the career in the reputed & respective field of Education in Teaching. The TET qualified person is to be eligible to teach in the Government School recognised by the Department of School Education. Before it was called as State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET).
BSEH conducts this test at the following 3 Levels:
- Paper I: who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V (Primary Teacher)
- Paper II: who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (TGT – Trained Graduate Teacher)
- Paper III: who wants to be a PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

What is the Eligibility:
Applying candidates must follow the following qualification to be eligible as prescribed by the NCTE. The State governments may change in the qualifications & eligibility requirements as per the GOs issued by them for HTET Exam:
Educational Qualification:
- For Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I): Candidates for this category should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 45% marks with two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed) / four yearsB.El.Ed / two-year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education.
- For Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper II): Candidates for this category should have Bachelor Degree (B.Sc./B.A./B.Com etc.) candidates with two years D.Ed./ B.Ed. OR 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) With 50 per cent in BA or B.Sc. Both Appearing & passed Candidates are Eligible.
- For Lecturers of Class XI-XII: Candidates for this category should possessthe Post Graduate (PG) Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognised university. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.
NOTE: Read the Notification for equivalent Eligibility Criteria/qualification. Relaxation will be provided to reserved categories in for of percentage of minimum qualifying marks.

Those candidates who have applied for can download their admit card from the official website from November 2018. Admit Card cum Roll numbers are compulsory for all applicants to sit in the examination hall. Admit Cards can be download from the link below:
HTET Results:
Applicants appeared in exams for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test can see the result on Board’s official website. The expected date for the result in August 2018. To see the result, candidates need roll number. If any candidate forgets his roll number can also see his result with the registration number. Registration number can be found on the phone number and email ID which has given at the time of registration. To qualify for the exam, the candidates need 60% (90 marks) for all except SC/PH ( 55%/82 marks).
HTET RESULT
HTET Certificate Validity Period:
The HTET certificate validity period for qualifying candidate is five years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories. There is no any restriction on the number of attempts for eligible candidates. Those candidates who already qualified exam can reattempt exam for improvement.
